How to Use AI Exam Prep

Everything you need to know to create, browse, and take practice exams.

Quick Start - 3 Steps

1

Add your sample questions

Type a few questions from your textbook or exam paper, or take a photo and upload it. These are your samples - the AI learns the style and topic from them.

2

Pick your settings

Choose difficulty, Test Mode or Practice Mode, how many questions to generate, and whether you want a timer.

3

Generate and start learning

Hit Generate My Questions. In Test Mode you answer everything before submitting. In Practice Mode you get instant feedback after each question.

Adding Sample Questions

TypeType questions directly in the text box - one per line, or numbered like a real paper.
PhotoUpload a photo of your question paper (up to 5 images). The AI reads text from images automatically.
TipYou only need 2-5 sample questions. More samples usually improve style matching, but even one can work.
Example input:
1. What is the capital of France?
2. Solve: 2x + 5 = 13
3. Define photosynthesis.

Difficulty Levels

Easy Simple recall questions and straightforward problems - great for first-time revision.
Medium Requires understanding, not just memory - the default for most exam prep.
Tough Multi-step problems and trickier wording - useful before important exams.
Mixed Custom blend - use the sliders to set exactly how many easy, medium, and tough questions you want.

In Mixed mode each question shows its own difficulty badge during the exam and review.

Creative vs Strict Format

Creative Style

The AI may mix question formats - MCQ, short answer, fill-in-the-blank, and word problems - to give you a more varied exam.

Strict Format

The AI mirrors the exact format of your samples. If your samples are equations like 3+4=7, the generated questions stay in that same style.

Modes: Test vs Practice

Test Mode

Best for exam-style practice. Answer the full paper first, then submit once at the end to see your score, corrections, and explanations.

Practice Mode

Best for guided learning, especially for kids. Each answer is revealed right away, explanations appear immediately, and correct answers show a cheerful celebration.

Practice Mode is always untimed so learners can focus on one question at a time.

During the Exam

JumpUse the numbered pills at the top to jump to any question - you do not have to answer in order.
StatusGreen pills mean answered or checked, blue is the current question, and grey means not yet started.
HintTap Need a hint for a nudge without revealing the answer. Hints are pre-generated, so they do not cost extra quota.
TimerTimers are available in Test Mode. If time runs out, your answers are auto-submitted.
PracticeIn Practice Mode, MCQ answers reveal instantly and written answers can be checked one question at a time.
PDFClick the PDF button in the exam header to open a print-ready layout you can save as a PDF for offline practice.

Reviewing Your Results

CorrectGreen border means correct, red means wrong, and grey means skipped.
ExpandClick any question card to expand it and see the correct answer, your answer, and an explanation.
MixedIn Mixed exams, each question card shows its own difficulty badge so you can see where you lost marks.
ReviewPractice Mode still ends with a final results page, but you will already have seen each answer and explanation during the session.
RetryRetry Same Questions resets your answers and lets you retake the exact same exam.
RateAfter reviewing, you can rate the exam and leave a comment that appears on the Reviews page.

No extra software needed - this works in modern browsers.

FAQ

My answer was marked wrong but I think it is right.

The checker is flexible - it ignores case, punctuation, and common filler words, and accepts some partial matches. If you believe it is genuinely wrong, check the explanation shown in the review.

Can I upload a photo of a question paper?

Yes - up to 5 images. JPEG and PNG work best. Make sure the text is clear and well lit.

Are my questions stored anywhere?

No. Questions are sent to the AI during generation and then discarded. Your exam session is stored only in your browser local storage.

How many questions can I generate?

Between 1 and 30. Use the plus and minus buttons in Exam Settings, or in Mixed mode the total is the sum of your three sliders.
